Thunderstorm Alert For Odisha Districts
There will be no large change in the maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next five days over the districts of Odisha. However, the temperature is very likely to be at and above 40 degrees C at isolated pockets of districts of Boudh and Bolangir, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday.
The IMD has also predicted thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty winds at several places of the state in the coming days.
A yellow warning for several districts has also been issued by the IMD in this regard.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Nuapada.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangapur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.
