Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government will start plying water taxis on Jhelum river from April 15 as a pilot project to explore options of using the water body as an alternate means of transport in the city.

Divisional Commissioner Asgar Hassan Samoon issued the orders at a meeting, yesterday. The meeting reviewed the pace of progress for infrastructure building for the project, a spokesman said.
