India is a country filled with varieties of mangoes and people celebrate the mangoes in all its forms. Meanwhile, a video of a mango-eating contest organised in Bihar has left the internet intrigued.
The viral video showcasing delicious mangoes has left people mouth-watery. The mango-eating contest was part of the state-level mango festival in Patna, Bihar. Varieties of mangoes were on display in the two-day mango festival organised by The Directorate of Horticulture, Department of Agriculture.
With the tagline of ‘Aam Khaao Inaam Paao’, the mango-eating contest was held in Bettiah area in West Champaran in Bihar. In the video, we can see the participants eating as many mangoes as possible in less time.
Platefuls of mangoes are seen being placed in front of the participants and they have to finish them before the given timeline. The contestants can be seen munching on the mangoes one after another. A Twitter user shared the video and wrote, “How delicious.”
In a similar incident, another mango festival was recently organised in Siliguri that had some interesting varieties of mangoes on display. They also showcased the most expensive mango variety, Miyazaki mango, pricked at Rs 2.75 lakh per kg.
