'Kai Po Che...' Monkey spotted flying kite on terrace, watch
The kite flying festival in India is celebrated on Makar Sankranti every year and Gujarat celebrates the event grandly. Called as Uttarayan, a large number of people participate in the event and fly kites. 'Kai Po Che (I have Cut)' is the common phrase that echoes during the event when one of the competitors uses the kite to cut off another person's kite. However, recently, a video went viral on social media, showing a monkey flying a kite on the terrace of a building.
In the viral video, the monkey is seen sitting on the terrace and moving its forelimbs as if it is pulling something. Meanwhile, a kite is seen getting dragged towards the monkey. It is easily understood that the monkey is pulling the string of the kite. Meanwhile, a few youths recording the incident can be heard yelling loudly. The monkey grabs the kite as soon as it comes closer.
While the origin of the video couldn't be verified, it is shared on X by Rosy. As claimed, the incident was captured in Banaras (Varanasi). However, the authenticity behind the claims couldn't be verified.

Notably, by nature, monkeys are intelligent and mischievous. They are also known for their curiosity and love for exploration. Moreover, monkeys are also known for mimicking human actions. Thus, such behaviour of the monkey is quite familiar. Possibly, the monkey might have seen someone flying a kite by pulling the string and it mimicked the same actions.
