Leopards are powerful big cats closely related to lions, tigers, and jaguars. Sometimes it becomes confusing for common people to differentiate between jaguars, leopards and cheetahs as their coats are quite similar. However, the black spots on their coats differ. Moreover, distinctive features of these cats differentiate them from one another including their size.
However, leopards get distinguished for being athletic and for their climbing ability. These big cats have earned an identity of being versatile and opportunistic hunters.
Here we bring a video that easily proves the claims.
Recently, a video surfaced on social media that shows a leopard in action. The video shows the leopard jumping on a tree while chasing a monkey. While the monkey jumps to another tree, the leopard jumps to the ground.
After a few moments, the monkey can be seen jumping from the second tree to the first tree and the leopard immediately takes a leap and catches the monkey. The leopard drops from the tree with its prey.
As it seems, the leopard descended from the first tree and climbed on the second to chase its prey. And its trick yielded success.
Indian Forest Services (IFS) official Susanta Nanda shared the video on Twitter with a caption reading: This is why Leopards are known as most opportunistic and versatile hunters (sic)
The video is amassing views with every minute. Moreover, users have retweeted the video massively and flooded the comments section with remarks expressing their views.
