An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Goa turned into a battlefield after a frustrated passenger physically assaulted the aircraft’s captain. The incident took place aboard an IndiGo flight (6E-2175) which was reportedly delayed for over 13 hours due to fog.
The passenger has been identified as Sahil Kataria. IndiGo has filed a complaint against Sahil. A video of the whole incident has now been going viral on social media.
The video starts with the captain announcing the delay of flight. The flight that was scheduled to depart at 7:40am was pushed to 2:30 pm. This infuriated the passenger who ran up from the last row and hit the pilot.
A social media user shared the video and wrote, “Today, my team was waiting for 13 hours and one guy got fed up.” The viral video has garnered mixed reactions from social media users. While a section of people came out in support of the man as flight delays lead to frustration, others opined that he should have maintained patience.
“A passenger assaulting an IndiGo captain announcing flight delay. This is so wrong. You may have your grievances, but this is not the right way to put it across,” a user commented.
A user commented, “He has done the right thing sometimes you have do this to show customer is the king not this people they are our servant we pay them. Same for babus.”
“Why does @IndiGo6E want to board the passengers when there is fog all around? When a passenger is boarded, which means it is ready to fly,” commented a user.
