Delhi Metro: Cops thrash men travelling in women’s coach; viral video sparks debate

The Delhi Metro has become a hub for silly fights and clashes, despite stern warnings from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Amidst all the viral videos from the rapid transit system, a new video of men getting thrashed by Delhi Police has gone viral on social media platforms.

The video shows the men crowding the women’s coach inside the Metro. On being informed, lady cops give them a good thrashing before removing them from the women’s coach. 

The video shared on X shows lady police officers pulling out the men and slapping them all one by one. They are joined by other women passengers who also thrash the men, leaving them visibly shocked.

The video of the incident soon went viral, sparking mixed reactions from netizens online. “Just like women only coaches, men-only coaches should be provided. This one side pandering has to stop...,” shared a user.

Another user commented, “I’ve been in the second coach it’s for both men and women. Women sit there even when their reserved coach has empty seats. They can easily walk to their coach with just a small effort, but instead, they sit here while men are standing. Govt should focus more on.”

“This is stupid. Ek do thappad mar ke chod diya. Ek bar inko 5000 Rs ka fine lago. Hafte main ek do aise check karo. Game over. People correct when there are consequences of action. Tappad is going to be forgotten max in 2 days, 5000 Rs will hurt a lot,” shared another user.
