‘We demand beardless boyfriend’: College girls demand clean-shaved men, say ‘Beard Hatao’

Do men look good with beards or without beards? There has been a never-ending debate over the trend of beards in Indian men. While several studies claim that women find men with beards more attractive, others say that clean-shaven men are more attractive.

Amidst the debate, a few young girls in Indore were spotted taking out a protest demanding clean-shaved men in India. The young girls, mostly college goers, wore beard make-up, and hit the streets with slogans of ‘Beard Hatao Pyar Bachao’.

With placards in their hands, the young girls demanded beardless boyfriends. The placards read, ‘no clean shave, no love’, ‘beardless boyfriend we demand’, ‘beard rakho ya gf rakho’, ‘no clean shave, no girlfriend’ and ‘no clean shave, no love’.

The hilarious yet bizarre protest by the young girl has gone viral after an X user shared it on social media. While it is unclear if the protest was a promotional stunt or for reels, the video has generated curiosity among social media users.

“Btw point is right , you have to trim your facial hair not completely shave but at least a good trim on a weekly basis , so that you don't look like a bear looks like a gentleman,” shared a user.

Another user wrote, “Yaar our body our choice 😀. Yeh toh zyada hi ho raha hai 😒 Pehle Vicky Kaushal ko bolo woh body spray ki ad mein kya gandi si beard rakhi hain, usi ko dekh yeh protest ki aasha utpan hui hogi inme.,,,🥰🥰”
