Change of heart! Royal Bengal Tiger spares wild boar; watch

The presence of a Royal Bengal Tiger is enough to stream fear among all in a forest. Tigers are known as the most powerful predators who tear down their prey with their sharp jaws. Small animals prefer to stay away from these big wild cats for safety. 

Tigers attack and tear the prey mercilessly to satisfy their hunger. Several such videos of wild cats in action are available on the internet. And, wildlife explorers must have encountered several such instances while exploring the wild. However, would anyone even think of a tiger sparing its prey?

Recently, a video surfaced on the internet in which a tiger can be seen readying to attack a wild boar. But, surprisingly instead of chasing its prey, the wild cat allows its prey to walk away.

As seen in the video, the tiger swiftly runs and bends to the ground, as it does just before attacking. Meanwhile, the wild boar can be seen walking slowly. As soon as it gets the glance of its death, the boar starts running.

As the tiger sees its prey running away, it stands up and initiates its step to chase. However, it stops and allows the boar to escape.

Well, the reason behind such a 'change of heart' is unknown, but, indeed it is surprising. 

Indian Forest Services (IFS) official Susanta Nanda shared the video on X (Formerly known as Twitter) with a caption reading: That was a dry run (sic)
