In a shocking incident, a bride was left waiting at wedding venue for her groom for hours but he didn’t turn up for the marriage.
According to a LIVE Hindustan report, the incident took place in Uttarkhand’s Haldwani.
Reportedly, after the groom's side didn’t turn up for the wedding on the fixed date, the bride’s family contacted them and questioned about their absence. Following this, the groom’s family told them a shocking thing.
According to reports, the bride’s family alleged that the groom’s father extended the wedding date by 10 days ahead of the scheduled date without informing them. The groom’s family also demanded a car and other items.
Reportedly, the matter came to the fore after the bride’s brother filed an FIR against the groom and his family for demanding dowry. He also demanded the groom’s family to compensate for the expenses incurred for the wedding.
The bride’s brother in his complaint mentioned that his sister's marriage was fixed with a resident of Chamoli. Reportedly, the engagement of the couple was solemnised last year in August and the wedding was fixed on March 1, 2023.
However, on the scheduled date, the groom and his family didn’t turn up even though the bride’s family had made all the arrangements for the wedding.
The bride’s family alleged the groom’s family said there was some confusion about the wedding date and they would bring the wedding procession on March 10; and there would be 150 guests rather than 100 which they had earlier said.
Later, angry over the groom’s family's last-minute demand, the bride refused to marry to the said youth.
