Berhampur: Three persons, allegedly trying to loot a trader, were injured when villagers assaulted them at Kanishi under Golanathara police station limit in Ganjam district, police said today.
The villagers caught them and beat severely when they attacked the trader yesterday.
The three were identified as Tutu Behera, Chandan Behera and Shankar Sahu of Shastri Nagar under Goshaninuagon police station here.
Several cases were pending against them in various police stations, sources said.
