Keonjhar: Police on Friday claimed to have busted a robbery gang here at Joda with the arrest of two youths. The cops apprehended the youths barely 5 hours after they had robbed the employees of a private firm of Rs 4, 70, 000 here at Baniekala.
The youths, earlier, around 1:30 this afternoon had robbed the employees of Pratyush Associate while the employees were on their way back to the firm on their bikes after withdrawing the money from State Bank of India, Joda Branch.
The robbers had fired gunshots at the employees and had decamped with the booty thereby injuring one of the employees.
However, police this evening nabbed two robbers from Daduan village in Beleipada area following the incident and seized Rs 1, 03, 000, a mouser and a bike from their possession.
Moreover, the cops are also investigating if anyone else is involved in this case and search is on to recover the rest amount of money.
