In a remarkable display of compassion, a divorced woman in Gujarat utilized her alimony payments to fund the cancer treatment of her former husband. This act underscores the enduring bonds of care and responsibility that can persist even after marital ties are legally dissolved.
As per Gujarati media Divya Bhaskar, Janhavi and Bhavesh fell in love in college and married with their families’ blessings, following all traditions. 13 years later, when their son turned four, Janhavi discovered that Bhavesh was having an affair.
The revelation shattered her. A confrontation followed, and so did a divorce. Janhavi was granted Rs 16000 per month as maintenance for herself and their child. Meanwhile, Bhavesh moved on and remarried. For eight years, he paid the allowance regularly, until nine months ago when the money suddenly stopped coming.
Janhavi waited and tried to contact Bhavesh. With no words from him, she finally approached the Gujarat High Court. There, Bhavesh submitted an affidavit stating he was battling end-stage cancer and was financially drained due to his treatment.
What Janhavi did next was nothing short of extraordinary. She not only withdrew the case but also offered to help him, with whatever little savings she had. She owed him nothing, but she chose grace over bitterness. Maybe a part of her heart still remembered the college boy she once loved.
Maybe her love had ended, but her compassion hadn’t. Even after betrayal she honoured her side of the love story, with dignity, not revenge.
“Girls like her are very rare… Never lose a girl like her, she deserves all the love care and respect,” a user shared.
Likewise, another user shared, “In search of gold, Bhavesh lost an Angle.”
“The sad thing is that all the cheaters get such a loving selfless partners,” shared another user.
