Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav has been making headlines for allegedly organizing a rave party with snake venom. The party was reportedly hosted by Yadav at his farmhouse in Noida where the snake venom was being used as a recreational drug.
Cops seized 20ml of snake venom and rescued five cobras, a python, 2 two-headed snakes, and a rat snake during the raid. Elvish has maintained that he is innocent and all allegations made against him are completely baseless and fake.
As per the National Library of Medicine, snake venom is the most dangerous substance, more than tobacco and cocaine. So, substances derived from snakes and scorpions are being used for its high kick.
A study by NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) revealed that people used snake bites to get high. Youths aged between 19 to 28 years have admitted to taking snake bites to get high. Drug addicts get bitten by venomous snakes on their tongues to get high.
This apart, snake venom is also used for de-addiction, an attempt to counter the addiction to alcohol.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Maneka Gandhi has filed a complaint based on which an FIR was registered under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.
Based on the complaint, Yadav was detained by the police in Rajasthan while he was on his way to Kota. However, he was released shortly after.
