A coy bride turned into a ‘Revolver Rani’ and started firing in the open air with a pistol during her own wedding at a village in UP’s Muzaffarnagar district. The video caught on camera is being widely circulated on social media.

Despite being banned in UP, celebratory firing is rampant across UP. The video highlights the bride’s celebratory firing with a pistol in her hand. A few youths can also be seen assisting the woman in firing the pistol and praising her efforts.

A youth can be heard shouting ‘Wah! Kan sunna kar diya’ while another youth shouts ‘Bahut badhiya’ as the bride smiles demurely.

The viral video angered a few social media users who tagged the Muzaffarnagar police and demanded action against the bride. Based on the outrage on social media, cops filed a complaint against the bride and her husband.

Speaking to Times of India, SI Tapan Jayant, posted at Khatauli police station, said that besides the bride, the groom could also be seen opening fire with the pistol as well.

“Both of them were also dancing with the pistol. The incident was reported from a wedding venue at Dudhli village under Khatauli police limits. Their irresponsible behaviour could have resulted in loss of lives,” Jayant told TOI.

An FIR has been filled against both the groom and the bride under IPC sections 290 (creating public nuisance) and 336 (whoever does any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of others).
