Samsung recently unveiled a new product called the 'Galaxy Ring' at the Galaxy Unpacked event. This much-anticipated smart ring is set to be the star of the show.

Although the event showcased a teaser video of the wearable, details about its features and launch timeline remain a mystery.

However, it is speculated that Samsung will align with other smart rings by offering fitness tracking features such as heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen level measurement, sleep tracking, and step counting, as per the Indian Express report.

Dr. Matthew Wiggins, a clinical research scientist at Samsung Research, hinted at upcoming features for the Samsung Health app.

Expected Features Of 'Galaxy Ring'

A Fitbit-like feature called 'My Vitality Score' is teased, which assesses users' physical readiness and mental preparedness based on heart rate data, activity, and sleep.

The Galaxy Ring is expected to go beyond standard fitness tracking functionalities offered by smartwatches.

While Samsung mentioned that the Galaxy Ring is "coming soon," details about its price and launch date are still under wraps.

Leaks suggest that the smart ring might include electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors, providing a longer battery life compared to smartwatches, as they don't need displays.

Despite rumors circulating about the Galaxy Ring's potential features, the company has not officially confirmed any details.

According to the report by Indian Express, the speculated cost of the Galaxy Ring in India is around Rs 24,945, similar to other products currently available in the market, like the Oura Ring 3.
