Samsung Galaxy Ring launches with PPG sensor and extensive health tracking features; see full specs
The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Ring has finally been launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
It was unveiled alongside the latest Galaxy Z foldable smartphones, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Buds 3.
This smart ring features advanced health tracking and sleep monitoring capabilities, and it comes in three different finishes. Let's take a closer look at its top features:
Galaxy Ring Size
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is available in US ring sizes 5 to 13, all made from grade 5 titanium alloy. It has a lightweight design, weighing between 2.3 grams and 3.0 grams, and is water-resistant.
A sizing kit is included to help users find their perfect fit from nine size options.

Galaxy Ring Performance
The smart ring offers 8MB of memory and requires a smartphone running Android 11 or later, along with the Samsung Health app.
It features a PPG (Photoplethysmography) sensor for detecting irregular heartbeats.
Galaxy Ring Features
The Galaxy Ring supports pinch gesture controls, allowing users to control their Galaxy smartphone by pinching their thumb and index fingers while wearing the ring.
It includes a temperature sensor and accelerometer for monitoring well-being, compatible with the Samsung Health app.
The Galaxy Ring incorporates Galaxy AI features such as Energy Score and Wellness Tips, generating detailed health reports and offering recommendations to users.
It features a sleep AI algorithm for analyzing sleep patterns, providing metrics like Sleep Score, snoring analysis, sleep movement, latency, heart rate, and respiratory rate. Skin temperature monitoring enables menstrual cycle tracking with Cycle Tracking.

The wearable is IP68 water and sweat resistant, certified for 10 ATM water resistance.
The base variant (size 5) houses an 18mAh battery, while the larger size 13 has a 23.5mAh battery, claimed to provide up to seven days of battery life on a single charge.
Price of Galaxy Ring in India
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is priced at approximately Rs 34,000 in the Indian market and will be available online starting July 24th.
