JioPhone Next, the made-for-India smartphone jointly designed by Jio and Google will hit stores on Diwali. Touted as the most affordable smartphone in the world, one can buy it by paying a down payment of Rs 1,999 and the rest paid via easy EMI over 18/24 months.

The JioPhone Next can also be purchased upfront without any finance facility for Rs 6499. The Company in a release claimed that this was for the first time that a phone in the entry-level category is getting a finance option.

“This makes the entry price extremely affordable and almost equal to a feature phone price. JioMart Digital’s network of more than 30,000 retail partners are empowered to provide the JioPhone Next with paperless digital financing option, extending to the remotest corners of the country,” the company stated.


Easy access and content in 10 languages For users who might not be able to read content in their language, with the tap on a button they can translate what’s on their screen, and even have it read back to them in their own language.

Read Aloud and Translate: New OS-wide features that will work with any text on the phone screen, including web pages, apps, messages, and even photos.

Using App Actions: Users can utilize their Google Assistant with many of the Jio apps on this device.

Camera : JioPhone Next is equipped with a smart and powerful camera that supports various photography modes such as Portrait Mode, allowing users to capture photos with an automatically blurred background. Night Mode allows users to capture photos even under low light conditions. The camera also features custom India-themed Lenses to enhance selfies with emotions and festivities.

Automatic feature updates : JioPhone Next comes with over the air updates support for new features, customization, security updates and more, which will continue to enhance the phone experience over time.
