The iPhone 16 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR10, and Dolby Vision, reaching up to 2000 nits brightness.

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display, also with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, but it shines brighter at 2600 nits. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra offers slightly more brightness.

Design-wise

The Galaxy S24 Ultra has three buttons: a side key and two volume buttons, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a side button and volume buttons, along with a new Camera Control button for better photography management.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max has a triple camera setup, featuring a 48 MP wide lens, a 12 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 48 MP ultrawide lens, with a 12 MP front camera.  

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, on the other hand, boasts a 200 MP wide lens, a 10 MP telephoto lens, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 12 MP ultrawide lens, along with a 12 MP front camera. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a more powerful camera setup.

Processor

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is powered by the Apple A18 Pro (3 nm) chipset running iOS 18, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is optimised for performance with its A18 Pro chipset.

AI Features

The Galaxy S24 Ultra includes Galaxy AI, offering advanced features for Samsung devices.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max will eventually have Apple Intelligence, which is still in development and will cover photo and video editing, writing, and automation.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra currently has more established AI features.

Battery

The iPhone 16 Pro Max’s battery capacity has not been disclosed. In contrast, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 5000 mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging options available in India.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a clear advantage with its larger battery capacity.

Price in India

The starting price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in India is approximately Rs 1,44,900 for the 256GB model, going up to Rs 1,64,900 for the 512GB model and Rs 1,84,900 for the 1TB model.  

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,31,999 for the 12GB, 512GB variant. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is more affordable.
