Google unveiled its latest offerings, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, not just in India but across the globe on Wednesday.

These new flagship smartphones mark the successors to last year's Pixel 7 series, showcasing Google's commitment to innovation.

Display:

Both the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro offer impressive displays, with the Pixel 8 featuring a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the Pixel 8 Pro boasting a larger 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and higher resolution.

Performance:

The phones are powered by Google's Tensor G3 chipset and come with Titan M2 security microprocessors for enhanced security. RAM options for the Pixel 8 include 8GB while the Pixel 8 Pro offers 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

Storage options vary, with the Pixel 8 offering 128GB and 256GB, and the Pixel 8 Pro providing 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB (in the US).

Both phones run Android 14 and promise seven years of updates.

Camera:

The Google Pixel 8 Pro has three rear cameras: a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with Super Res Zoom, which can zoom in up to 30 times. The front camera is a 10.5MP camera.

On the other hand, the Pixel 8 has two rear cameras- a 50MP wide camera with Super Res Zoom up to 8x, along with EIS and OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera on the Pixel 8 is also a 10.5MP camera.

Battery:

The Pixel 8 Pro is equipped with a 5,050mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. Google claims it can charge up to 50% in about 30 minutes. The Pixel 8, on the other hand, has a 4,575mAh battery with the same charging capabilities as the Pixel 8 Pro.

Price in India:

The pricing for these feature-packed devices is competitive. The Pixel 8 starts at $699. In India, the Google Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 while the Pixel 8 Pro is available at Rs 106,999.
