If you're currently shopping for a new smartphone and contemplating the purchase of a foldable device, you might be interested in Google's latest addition - the Pixel Fold.

Here are the details about Google's maiden foldable smartphone.

The Pixel Fold's most remarkable attribute is its foldable display.

The phone is equipped with a petite 5.8-inch screen when folded and a more expansive 7.6-inch display when unfolded.

Both screens are built with AMOLED technology and boast an impressive 120Hz refresh rate.

The foldable display, akin to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, is made of ultra-thin glass, while the cover display features Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The Pixel Fold is the thinnest smartphone that Google has released and is also IPX8 water-resistant.

The Pixel Fold runs on Google's custom-designed Tensor G2 chipset, which is optimised to offer top-notch performance for all your daily tasks.

The Tensor G2 chipset also incorporates a specialized machine learning (ML) chip, enabling you to experience quicker and more efficient AI and ML processing.

For storage and memory, the Pixel Fold is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Furthermore, the device offers an alternative variant with 512GB of storage, ensuring ample space to house all your apps, pictures, and videos.

The Pixel Fold is supported by a powerful 4821mAh battery, which Google claims can deliver over 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.

The device is also compatible with wireless charging, allowing you to recharge your phone effortlessly while on the move.

As for the camera, the Pixel Fold sports a 48MP primary camera, in addition to a 10.8MP telephoto lens featuring 5x optical zoom.

The device also boasts a 9.5MP camera on the front of the outer display, as well as an 8MP camera on the inner display, providing you with multiple choices to snap all your cherished moments.

Price in India

The Pixel Fold is priced at around Rs 1,47,000, equivalent to $1,799 in India.

It is worth noting that Google is bundling the Pixel Watch free of charge with the phone.

However, the Pixel Fold will be launched only in certain markets.
