Introducing the latest gaming smartphones in the market for the new year, Asus has unveiled its powerful ROG Phone 8 series at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

These devices promise an excellent gaming experience with advanced features, including AI enhancements, as reported by Livemint.

In the realm of technology, the ROG Phone 8 series embraces AI, enabling users to extract text directly from games using the innovative AI Grabber feature. Let's take a closer look at the key features:

Display

The Asus ROG Phone 8 boasts a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2500 nits.

Notable improvements from its predecessor include IP68 certification, a 15% reduction in thickness and weight, and thinner bezels.

Performance

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the ROG Phone 8 offers up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

Camera

The ROG Phone 8's triple camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, a 32MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and 32MP front camera.

Battery

Equipped with a 5,500 mAh battery, the smartphone supports fast charging with the provided 65W charger.

It also features Quick Charge 5.0, PD Charging, and 15W Qi wireless charging.

Price in India

The Asus ROG Phone 8 series starts at around Rs 91,500 for the 16GB RAM/256GB storage variant, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro is priced at around Rs 1,25,000 for the 24GB RAM/1TB storage variant. 

Colour options include Rebel Grey and Phantom Black for the ROG Phone 8, and Phantom Black for the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition and ROG Phone 8 Pro.
