Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently experiencing rapid growth worldwide, with various tech giants creating their own Chatbots and other AI-powered solutions to address technological challenges.
Recently, even Twitter's owner, Elon Musk, announced the launch of their AI initiative known as xAI.
Meanwhile, Apple has also entered the AI race, aiming to catch up with industry leaders like OpenAI and Google.
According to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is strongly working to develop next-generation Generative AI features.
To achieve this, the company has devised a framework called "Ajax," which facilitates the creation of Language Model-based systems (LLMs).
Apple has already deployed an internal AI model known as "Apple GPT," and they have set their sights on launching a consumer product based on this technology in the coming year.
This AI endeavour has become a major focus for Apple, as several teams collaborate across different departments, including machine learning, software engineering, and cloud services engineering.
While the AI push from Apple appears promising, CEO Tim Cook remains cautious about the flood of new AI services entering the market.
He acknowledges the immense potential of AI, but also stresses that there are still a number of issues that need to be addressed and sorted out before common adoption can take place, as highlighted in the report.
