Apple has started its biggest 4-day event, the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024.

During the first days of this event, tech giants unveiled many new things including visionOS 2, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 "Sequoia," and iOS 18.

One major update is visionOS 2 for the Apple Vision Pro headset, introducing a new gestural system to make quick actions easier to access.

The Photos app can now automatically create Spatial Photos from your 2D photo library. Also, the Mac Virtual Display feature is getting upgrades for better resolution and quality.

iOS 18

The upcoming tvOS 18 will bring several new features. One of them is InSight, similar to Amazon X-ray but for Apple original content.

Apple will now support 21:9 projectors for video. The Enhance Dialogue feature is improved using machine learning for better voice isolation. Subtitles will now appear automatically at relevant moments.

macOS 15 Sequoia

Users can take advantage of Continuity features between their Mac and iPhone, and a standalone Passwords app is introduced.

Apple Intelligence

The new features across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, use a blend of on-device and server-powered generative AI models. This also includes personalised notification prioritisation, generative writing tools, and image generation. Generative AI personalises outputs while maintaining privacy.
