IPL and PSL
Participation of foreign cricketers in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) are likely to be hampered due to the current geopolitical tension between India and Pakistan.
As per the latest report, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have raised serious concerns regarding the safety of their players currently participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL).
As per reports, two Bangladeshi players-leg-spinner Rishad Hossain (Lahore Qalandars) and fast bowler Nahid Rana (Peshawar Zalmi) are actively involved in the PSL 2025 season.
BCB has confirmed that it is closely working with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad. BCB is keeping an eye on the security situation in Pakistan, with player safety being its top concern.

"The BCB is in active coordination with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad to ensure that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee the security of our players," BCB stated in a press release.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that ECB will rely on advice from the Foreign Office and consult with security teams when it comes to the safety of English players in the IPL and PSL.
However, the final decision on whether players stay in India or Pakistan for the tournaments will be up to the players themselves.
