The ongoing IPL 2025 playoffs stage has become interesting. With 14 more matches still to be played, as many as seven teams are still in the contention. Here is a look at the permutations and combinations that each team needs to ensure for qualifying into the top four spots.

Gujarat Titans (GT)

With 16 points in their kitty from 11 matches and an improved run rate of +0.793, GT are leading the points table and are in a great position to be qualified for the playoffs race. GT will ensure their playoffs spot by winning one of their remaining matches. If they lose all their matches, it may be slightly difficult for them.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

RCB are occupying the second spot in the points table with 16 points from 11 matches and a run rate of +0.482. RCB need to win one of their remaining matches to qualify for the playoffs spot. However, they need to win all of their remaining matches to finish within top two.

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

PBKS are currently on the third spot of the points table with 15 points. They need to win two of their remaining matches to qualify for playoffs race. They can also qualify though they lose all their remaining matches. However, they will have to depend on the results of other matches.

Mumbai Indians (MI)

MI are currently on the fourth spot with 14 points from 12 matches. They have to win their next two matches and depend on the results of other matches to qualify for the playoffs spot.

Delhi Capitals (DC)

DC are now on the fifth spot of the points table with 13 points. They need to win three more matches to qualify for the playoffs spot. However, it will be a tough task for them.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

KKR are currently lagging on the sixth spot of the points table with 11 points. They have to depend on the results of other matches despite winning three of their remaining matches.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

LSG are lagging on the seventh spot of the points table with 10 points. They have to win their remaining three matches and depend on the results of other matches for qualifying into playoffs race.
