ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Veteran cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja have reached the fag end of their career. Speculation is rife among the fans and experts that all of them may announce their retirement after the completion of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Former India star turned expert Aakash Chopra also feels on the same line. Chopra feels that the three big stars may not wait for the ODI World Cup in 2027.
“I am convinced that these three will not be a part of another ICC event. We haven’t qualified for the final of the World Test Championship and the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy is going to be their last,” said Chopra in a recent interaction.
“The next T20 World Cup will be played in 2026 but all the three have already announced retirement from the shortest format. The world will be different in the 2027 ODI World Cup. Even Virat, Rohit and Jadeja feel that this could be their last major ICC tournament,” he added.
