Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli is well-known all around the world. This was further demonstrated when a video of a young girl from Ladakh showing off some excellent shots went viral on social media.
In the video, the girl can be heard saying that she idolises and wants to be like Virat Kohli.
The class VI student Maqsooma's video was posted to Twitter by the Ladakh Directorate of School Education (DSE). In the video, Maqsooma was seen playing some outstanding cricket shots in a nearby field.
“My father at home and my teacher at school encourage me to play cricket. I’ll put all my efforts to play like @imVkohli Maqsooma student class 6th #HSKaksar,” the caption of the tweet read.
“I have been playing cricket since childhood. I am still learning how to play especially the Helicopter shot. After taking the second run, we get tired and do not feel like running for another. My favourite cricketer is Virat Kohli and I want to be like him,” Maqsooma said.

The clip has so far garnered more than 1.25 lakh views on Twitter. It shows the popularity of former Indian captain Virat. The star batsman is currently in Australia to play the T20 World Cup 2022.
