Pant's acrobatic celebration put smiles on cricket lovers’ faces who had waited for this day since his return to cricket after suffering a horrific road accident.

Rishabh Pant with his trademark celebration

After completing his seventh Test century against England on day two of the first Test at Leeds on Saturday, India vice-captain Rishabh Pant brought up his now trademark celebration.

The aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman celebrated with the somersault after scoring his century in 146 deliveries with the help of 10 boundaries and 4 sixes.

This was not the first time that Pant had pulled off this acrobatic celebration. Earlier, the Lucknow Super Giants captain had celebrated in the same way when he slammed a 100 in the IPL against Royal Challengers Bengaluru earlier this year.

Pant's acrobatic celebration put smiles on cricket lovers’ faces who had waited for this day since his return to cricket after suffering a horrific road accident in December 2022.

However, reacting to Pant's celebration, legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar made a cheeky remark on air.

"After that, you need to keep a stretcher and ambulance ready, just in case," the Little Master was heard as saying.

Notably, Pant went past MS Dhoni for the most centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper in Test cricket, bringing up his seventh on the second day of the series opener against England.
