Virat Kohli ignored AB De Villiers for months, check reason

Former South Africa great and RCB player AB de Villiers has hinted that Team India superstar Virat Kohli ignored him for months, after he announced Anushka Sharma's pregnancy to the world during a live stream. 

The former agressive batter made the revelation in a recent interaction with Cricket.com. De Villiers confirmed last year that Virat and Anushka were expecting their second child, after the former India captain decided to skip the entire Test series against England at home. However, he admitted in another video that he made a blunder and shared news that wasn't true.

"Family comes first and then Cricket. I made a terrible mistake on my YouTube channel. That information was wrong and not true at all. Virat has every right to take a break from national duties due to family reasons. I think whatever's best for Virat's family, comes first. No one knows what's happening there, all I can do is wish him well. Whatever the reason for his break, I hope he can come back stronger, better, and fresh from this," De Villiers had said.

However, Kohli and de Villiers had a reunion earlier this month after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won their first IPL title. The two RCB icons shared a hug and celebrated after the win over Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final.

"I was very relieved when he started talking to me again," said De Villiers.
