Though Anmolpreet remained unsold in IPL 2025 auction, he attracted the attention of the fans and experts by scoring the quickest-ever List A century by an Indian during the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Saturday. In the process, the Punjab cricketer made history.
Anmolpreet hit a blistering 35-ball hundred in the opening round of the tournament against Arunachal Pradesh at the Narendra Modi Stadium A Ground in Ahmedabad.
In the process, the 26-year-old Punjab batter has broken the Indian record held by Yusuf Pathan, who scored a century off 40 balls for Baroda against Maharashtra in 2010.
Notably, Anmolpreet Singh was earlier part of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians in IPL. However, he was snubbed in the last auction. He has garnered a total of 139 runs at an average of 15.44, with a top score of 36 in nine IPL matches so far.
Hopefully, some IPL team will show its interest on Anmolpreet following his whirlwind knock.
