When asked about the snub, Jadeja said, “It was important, but when I didn’t play the first two Tests, I had enough time to practice and prepare for the upcoming games. I used the time to know about the conditions.”

“I bowled and batted on Australian pitches. Whatever hard work I did in the nets, it helped me during the third game. I was prepared for the challenge ahead and executed my plans in the match,” he added.

Notably as per sources, the team management including head coach Goutam Gambhir is harping on the transition of Team India. Under the circumstances, speculation is rife that some of the senior players in the team are most likely to announce their retirements soon to make way for talented young cricketers.
