Team India captain Rohit Sharma reveals future plan after Champions Trophy

Breaking silence about his future plans, Rohit has recently revealed that his current focus is on the upcoming three ODIs against England and then the Champions Trophy.

Speculation has been rife among several fans and experts that Team India captain Rohit Sharma will announce his retirement from international cricket after the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Reports were also published in some sections of the media that BCCI has asked Rohit to clear about his future plan after the mega event.

In response, breaking silence about his future plans, Rohit has recently revealed that his current focus is on the upcoming three ODIs against England and then the Champions Trophy.

“We have three ODIs and Champions Trophy coming in. The reports have been going on for a number of years. I am not here to clarify those reports. For me, right now, these three games and the Champions Trophy are very important. My focus is on these games, we will see what happens afterwards,” said Rohit during a recent interaction.

Notably, Rohit has been going through horrible form of his life. Many experts are of the opinion that the veteran cricketer should announce his retirement soon to allow transition in the Indian team and make way for talented youngsters.

Meanwhile, a BCCI source revealed that the team management has certain plans going into the next World Test Championship (WTC) cycle and the ODI World Cup and they want to ensure everyone is on the same page for a smoother transition.
