TATA gifts car’s ‘broken glass window’ to Ellyse Perry after her massive six

Australian cricketer Ellyse Perry has been breaking records and is arguably one of the greatest women’s cricketers of all times. The legend propelled her team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to the finals of WPL 2024 with her heroics.

Perry single-handedly outplayed Mumbai Indians (MI) to ensure her team’s journey to the finals.

The Australian legend has been trending on social media with RCB fans going gaga over her exceptional talent. She is the reason hopes of millions of RCB fans of an IPL trophy is still alive. 

Recently, Perry's one of the sixes had broken the glass of a car during the clash between RCB and UP Warriors at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Batting to the bowling of Deepti Sharma, Perry smacked the ball down the leg side for a massive six. Such was the timing of the shot that the ball landed in the area of the sponsor's car and smashed the window.

The vehicle, a TATA Punch EV, was presented at the stadium for the sponsor. However, Perry hit a massive six that broke the glass of the car. Perry herself was shocked and her reaction to the same even went viral on social media.

Now, as a kind gesture and memory forever, TATA made a frame out of the broken glasses and gifted it to Ellyse Perry. The humble gesture is a token of love for the game that Perry played. Perry also humbly accepted the unique gift as she looks forward for the finals against Delhi Capitals on March 17.
