Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has broken all records after signing $200 million per year deal with Al Nassr FC. He has become the first player to sign such a humongous contract after terminating his contract with Manchester United.
There were reports that he would join some European club and rack up more records in the UEFA Champions League. However, Ronaldo instead joined Al Nassr to help promote the game in Saudi Arabia.
It seems like the star footballer is all set to make another record. He will become the first man to be allowed to live-in with his partner. Under Saudi laws, it is illegal to live in the same house without being married.
But Ronaldo and his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez are set to break the law by living together. Saudi authorities are not expected to punish the couple. Reports said, the Portuguese star is unlikely to be punished as he is one of the most well-known and marketable athletes in the world.
Reports said the Saudi Arabian authorities do not interfere in the cases of foreigners, but the law continues to prohibit live-in relationships and co-habitation outside of marriage in the country.
Ronaldo has two children Bella and Alana with Georgina. The couple met while he was playing for Real Madrid back in 2016 and have been together since then. He also has three other children Cristiano Jr and twins Eva and Mateo from his previous relationships.
Cristiano has joined Al-Nassr on a two-and-a half years deal after his contract with Manchester United got terminated following a controversial interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan. During the interview, he accused the club of cheating him and stated that he felt betrayed.
He had also criticised the club manager Erik ten Hag and was also suspended earlier in the season after he refused to come in as a substitute during a 2-0 victory over Tottenham.
