RCB vs GT in IPL 2025 today: Battles between top players to watch out for

High-flying Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will lock horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 14th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in a thrilling encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Both the sides have faced each other  in five matches  of the mega event so far, with GT winning two and RCB securing three victories. RCB have won three of the previous five matches against GT and they will be looking to continue their momentum.

Home team RCB had the perfect start to IPL 2025 as the two-time finalists have won both their matches and are currently the table toppers.

Meanwhile, 2022 champions GT have a mixed performances so far with a victory and defeat each in two matches so far this season.

With both the formidable teams gearing for the thrilling encounter, fans are eagerly waiting a high-octane game with excitement and thigh-quality cricket.

Gill vs Bhuvneshwar

Shubman Gill is undoubtedly one of the top batters for GT and he is most expectedly to open the innings for his side. However, he will face a tough challenge to open the innings as the venue will offer some swing initially. Gill will have to encounter swing specialists like veteran Indian speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar and  Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood.

Kohli vs Rashid

Fans are eager that superstar Virat Kohli will dominate the GT bowlers. He is the leading run-getter in the history of IPL. As an opener once he gets through the powerplay, he will be up against Rashid Khan in the middle overs. Rashid is one of the world's best bowlers and the highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket.

Moreover, Rashid has an impressive record against Kohli, having dismissed him twice. It will be interesting to see if the Afghan spinner can trouble the ace batter in today's game.

Salt vs Siraj

RCB batter Phil Salt and GT pacer Mohammad Siraj are currently in great forms in the ongoing edition of IPL. Salt has scored 88 runs in two matches at an impressive strike rate of 188 so far. He is quite devastating at the top of the order. He will be facing in-form Siraj with the new ball.

Meanwhile, Siraj has plenty of experience playing at Chinnaswamy and he could be quite effective with the new ball.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is known for being a batting-friendly surface. The fast outfield and short boundaries contribute to high-scoring games, putting bowlers under tremendous pressure.
