'MS Dhoni has assured me to take care of my surgery', claims pitch invader

During CSK's IPL 2024 match against GT in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium, a fan of MS Dhoni had invaded the pitch. Recently, he has recalled a chat with the legendary cricketer. The fan claimed that the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman said he would take care of his surgery.

The fan also claimed that the former CSK captain identified his breathing issues after he ran onto the field and tried to hug the CSK superstar.

Notably, in a video that went viral during the match on May 10, Dhoni was seen having a chat with the pitch invader before the security officials at the venue took him away from the field of play.

The fan also claimed that Dhoni asked the security officials to take him out of the field safely.

"When I saw him, I tried to surrender. I raised my hand in delight and chased him. Mahi bhai said 'I am trying to have fun here," the fan said during a recent interaction.

"I went mad. I touched his feet. He is a legend, I had tears in my eyes. He asked me why I was breathing heavily. I had jumped the fence, ran onto the pitch and I was breathing heavily. I told him about a problem with my nose. He said: 'I will take care of your surgery. Don't worry. I will not let anything happen to you," he added.

Notably, Dhoni left the captaincy of CSK in IPL 2024 and the team failed to enter the playoff. Now, speculation is rife that Dhoni may soon announce his retirement from the cash-rich league.
