Legendary cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravichandran Ashwin have already announced their retirements from the longest format of the game.

The Indian team is currently going through a transition period. Meanwhile, speculation is rife among the fans and experts that premier speedster Jasprit Bumrah will follow suit, at least in one of the three formats, given the history of his injuries.

The 31-year-old pacer is the backbone of India’s pace attack. He still remains one of the most feared fast bowlers in world cricket in all three formats of the game.

However, Bumrah admitted that the clock is ticking, saying the lost time due to injuries has taught him one thing, that nothing lasts forever, and he knows the finish line will eventually come. And when it does, he wants to bow out with pride, giving back to the game that gave him everything.

"If my body starts to struggle or the hunger to play fades, I'll know it’s time to step away, but till then, I want to give my best each time," said Bumrah.
