Former India great backs RCB to lift IPL 2025 title
Former India great and legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar has backed the Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to lift Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 title.
Gavaskar made the prediction following RCB's emphatic victory over the Punjab Kings in the Qualifier 1 of IPL 2025 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh.
RCB have sealed a place in the final of IPL 2025 after beating PBKS. They will face one among the Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Gujarat Titans in the title clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3.
In a recent interaction, Gavaskar hailed RCB, stating that different players have stepped up this season and backed them to lift the trophy.

"I think that actually tells you the story of RCB this year is that they haven't been reliant on one or two players one player in batting or one player in bowling. Everywhere, somewhere or the other has put their hand up and taken the team home. And I think that is the key to what we have seen why RCB are in the final and possibly will be the champions on the 3rd of June," said the Little Master.
Meanwhile, Gavaskar lashed out at the Punjab Kings (PBKS) star players for their suicidal moves in Qualifier 1.
