Rajat Patidar likely to be ruled out of IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have suffered two massive blows ahead of the resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 second phase.
As per reports, RCB captain Rajat Patidar has suffered injury and he is most likely to be out of the IPL 2025. Earlier, it was revealed that Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood won't be returning to India.
It has been learnt that Patidar injured his finger during the home fixture against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025. The batsman is likely to take more time than expected to recover. Apart from IPL 2025, he might miss out on the India A squad for the tour of England after the league.
As per sources, Patidar has been asked to wear a splint to protect his finger. His injury will be assessed in a few days. However, it is very much unlikely that he will play the first few games.

Meanwhile, the RCB management is hopeful that he might play a part in the business end of the tournament, where he might play as an impact player.
As per RCB sources, if Patidar is ruled out of IPL 2025, Jitesh Sharma will be leading the team. The wicketkeeper-batter is a popular figure in the franchise and he will be given the responsibility to lead the team.
