Former India player Gautam Gambhir expressed his disappointment after speed bowler Sreesanth gave him a long stare during a match at the Legends League Cricket. The stare from Sreesanth came after Gambhir hit him for a six and a four.
The incident occurred during the Legends League Cricket eliminator match between Gujarat Giants and India Capitals. Gambhir playing for India Capitals went hammer and tongs against Gujarat Giants and hit seven fours and one six to score 51 off just 30 balls.
The former teammates Gambhir and Sreesanth were then involved in a long stare-off and the video of the incident is now going viral on social media. The video shows Sreesanth giving a long star while Gambhir also stares back.
Later, after the match, Sreesanth uploaded a video on Instagram and ranted against Gambhir.
“Just wanted to clear the air with what happened with Mr. Fighter, one who always fights with all his colleagues, for no reason whatsoever. He does not even respect his own senior players including Viru Bhai. Without any provocation, he was calling me something which was very rude,” Sreesanth said.
“What’s the point of representing people if you don’t respect your own colleagues?,” Sreesanth added.
Gambhir has been in the news for his alleged feud with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Similarly, Sreesanth known for aggressive celebration was earlier slapped by former cricketer Harbhajan Singh.
