Ind vs Aus Test series: Former India great makes bold prediction on Virat Kohli

Though veteran batsman Virat Kohli is currently going through poor form, former India captain and Little Master Sunil Gavaskar has made a bold prediction on him.

According to Gavaskar, Kohli can finish the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia with four hundreds if he scores a ton in the third match at the Gabba in Brisbane. 

Gavaskar further said that Kohli has all the skills in the world to score a century in the upcoming matches.

“If Kohli scores a century in the third Test, it will be good for Team India. He can join an elite club if he scores a hundred in Brisbane. He will become only the third visiting batter to script this record,” said Gavaskar during a recent interaction.

“Kohli has earlier scored tons in Melbourne and Sydney, the venues of the fourth and fifth Tests. This means he has a chance to end this tour with four hundreds,” he added.

Kohli has so far scored as many as seven Test centuries in Australia including three centuries in Adelaide, two in Perth, and once each in Melbourne and Sydney.

Notably, India and Australia are leveled 1-1 in the Border-Gavaskar Test series before heading into the Brisbane Test on Saturday.

Though India won the first Test in Perth in an emphatic manner, the visitors suffered a humiliating loss against formidable Australia in the second Test in Adelaide.
