Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor meets Chief Minister Mohan Majhi
As many as two matches of the ongoing Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2025 will be played at the historical Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on February 16.
Prior to the matches, Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and actor Arjun Kapoor met Chief Minister Mohan Majhi in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday and invited him for the matches. Both Boney and Arjun also met Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj before meeting CM Majhi.
While Punjab De Sher will take on Bhojpuri Dabanggs in the first match at the Barabati Stadium on February 16, Mumbai Heroes will lock horns with Bengal Tigers at the historical stadium in another match on the same day.
“We have invited Chief Minister Mohan Majhi to launch the tournament in Cuttack. As many as four teams- Punjab De Sher, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Mumbai Heroes and Bengal Tigers will play their matches at the Barabati Stadium on February 16,” said Boney Kapoor.
“We express our gratitude to the CM Sir for giving us his valuable time. I have come to Odisha for the very first time and it is memorable for me. We have come to invite the Chief Minister for the CCL matches at the Barabati Stadium. We are hopeful that the local people will shower their love on CCL and enjoy cricket at the Barabati Stadium,” said Arjun Kapoor.

Notably, the 11th edition of the CCL began on February 8 (Friday) in Bengaluru, and the grand finale will take place on March 2. The Bengal Tigers are the defending champions, while the Telugu Warriors are the most successful team.
All the group-stage matches will be played in Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Cuttack and Surat.
