Amid divorce news and IPL 2025, Yuzvendra Chahal turns professor; watch
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, famed for his social media antics, has amused his followers with a humorous video in which he adopts the role of an English teacher. In the viral video, Chahal wearing a Punjab Kings jersey, ingeniously uses superlatives with the names of his teammates. He begins with the example of 'small, smaller, smallest', then adds examples such as 'fast, faster, Lockie Ferguson' and 'tall, taller, Marco Jansen'.
This light-hearted post comes soon after Chahal's historic achievement at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction in Jeddah. His bid of Rs 18 crore makes him the most expensive spinner in the league's history.

Personal Life Struggles:
Meanwhile, Chahal's personal life has become a topic of public speculation. He and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, have filed for divorce. Though rumours had been circulating about their separation, official confirmation arrived just last week.
Reports indicate that their final hearing occurred at Bandra Family Court, yet Dhanashree's lawyer, Aditi Mohan, has stated that proceedings are still ongoing. Mohan urges the media to avoid spreading misinformation, highlighting that the issue remains under judicial consideration.
'No comments on the proceedings can be made as the matter is sub judice,' she insists. Additionally, allegations of a Rs 60 crore alimony demand have been strongly denied by Dhanashree's family, who called for responsible reporting and fact-checking to respect the couple’s privacy.
Cricketing Developments:
In cricket, Chahal last represented India in a T20 International (T20I) against the West Indies in August 2023. However, he was not included in the squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
