Though former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has retired from international cricket, he still remains as the most popular cricketer in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The fans are coming to the stadiums in huge numbers to witness every action of the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman. 

The rumors of his retirement from the cash-rich league in the last two or three years have made the fans emotional. The home grounds of the nine other teams are seeing a surge in the number of audience whenever CSK are locking horns against them.

Dhoni is the favorite son of Chennai. His entry into the stadium is enough to make the die-hard supporters go crazy. In the last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he batted for a few balls. However, his craze crossed all boundaries. The veteran star is doing his best to make fans happy and even came out to bat early in the fifth game of IPL 2024.

Meanwhile, former India opener Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is currently doing commentary job during IPL 2024 gave Dhoni a new title. He called Dhoni the ‘brand ambassador of happiness’.

“Dhoni brings happiness to the face of fans. He is everything for the fans. For me, he is the ‘brand ambassador of happiness’. Dhoni makes the fans and supporters go crazy, and they enjoy it whenever he is on the ground,” said Sidhu on air.
