Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party on Friday demanded the dismissal of the "autocratic" Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh and said it would approach National Human Rights Commission over "brutal" police action on its party workers during the outfit`s state-wide stir against ruling BSP.

A delegation of SP leaders led by party state president Akhilesh Yadav met Governor T V Rajeswar at the Raj Bhawan and requested him to dismiss the BSP government, which they alleged that the government acted in an inhuman way against peaceful SP protesters by beating them brutally.
