Dehradun: Sonia Gandhi`s first election meeting slated to be held today at Halwani in poll-bound Uttarakhand was cancelled due to bad weather.
The Congress president`s programme was cancelled as dense fog enveloped the hill state, SP Nainital Anant Ram Chauhan said.
Sonia Gandhi was scheduled to fly to Haldwani via Bareilly to address the campaign meeting, her first in the state where assembly elections are to be held on January 30.
