Striking a strident note, the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha has today threatened more aggressive attacks if CM Patnaik dithers on dropping the Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra for his alleged complicity in the murder of Mahaling school teacher Mamita Meher.

Virtually issuing an ultimatum, the party has also demanded the police to arrest the minister as soon as possible. If no action will be forthcoming, then the party will hold protests in front of all the district police offices across the State on October 26 and 27 for justice to Mamita.

Addressing a press conference, Irasish Acharya, the president of the State BJP youth wing, said the party will continue to tighten the noose around the government till the accused minister is arrested.

"Not only the BJP, the youths of entire Odisha demand the dismissal of Dibya Shankar from the council of ministers and his arrest as well, said Acharya.

The party today reiterated its stand and dared the Odisha government to hand over the reins of the probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Dibya Shankar has been accused of having close links with Gobinda Sahu, the mastermind behind the murder of the teacher. It has also been alleged that the minister used to regularly visit the Mahaling Regional College where a sex racket was being operated by Sahu.

However, both the BJD and Odisha government are yet to react to the BJP's warpath over the Mamita murder case.
