The stage is set for a high octane political fight in Sundargarh Lok Sabha Seat as two heavyweights like  BJP's Jual Oram and BJD's Dilip Tirkey have locked horns after a gap of ten years.  

In 2014, Jual and Dilip had locked horns in Sundargarh Lok Sabha seat and they are in the fray after 10 years while issues have changed.  

Jual, a veteran and former Union Minister, is condident of his victory in the upcoming elections.

“People will choose the BJP to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream for development. The projects like second Brahmani river bridge, the airport, completion of Talcher-Bimlagarh railway line, model residential schools, super speciality hospital and  NTPC Medical College and Hospital have veen done with my efforts. Electricity, mobile network service and road connectivity in the distrcit were done during the term of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee governmant and during the nine years' rule of the Modi governmant,” said Jual.

Terming his rival Dillip Tirkey as a younger brother, the BJP leader said,"He is a good hockey player and an expert at playing hockey but I am expert in politics,” he added. 

Dilip Tirkey responded, “He (Jual Oram) is like my elder brother. He may be an experienced politician, but I am a sportsman. As politics requires a lot of hard work on field, I can do it well. Because of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Sundargarh witnessed many developmental projects. Development has taken place in all spheres, be it sports or education."

He also said that as he has came of the tribal background, he will work for them. "I am here for Sundargarh people," he said.
