Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Bhubaneswar on a two-day visit to Odisha on Sunday evening, a day before the second phase elections in the state. 

He arrived in a special plane of the Indian Air Force in the evening amid tight security arrangements. 

On his arrival at the Bhubaneswar Airport, many senior BJP leaders and party functionaries received him at the airport. From there, his carcade went straight to the party office.

The Prime Minister held a key review meeting at the party office for about 30 minutes with many senior party leaders and members of the election management committee and the core committee over the party’s strategies and activities of booth management, campaign and the war room management.  

The PM also got to know about the responsibilities allocated to the leaders for campaign and booth management. He was all praise for the party workers engaged in organizational activities even without getting party tickets. 

The PM imparted mantra to party leaders for electoral success at the meeting with Odisha being in the focus of the Central BJP leadership.

The review meeting assumed importance for the party in Odisha as it is reportedly working on mission mode. After the review meeting, the PM’s carcade proceeded to the Raj Bhawan where the PM will make a night halt. 

Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal said that the Prime Minister interacted with the party workers and leaders present at the party office.

Samal added that the PM will leave Bhubaneswar for Puri to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath at Srimandir on Monday morning. After having a darshan of the deities, he will hold a roadshow from 8 AM. Then, the PM will leave for Angul where he will address a public meeting at 9.30 AM before addressing another meeting in Cuttack at 11.30 AM.

'BJP government in Odisha on June 10'

He further stated, “The BJP will form the government in Odisha and June 10 has been fixed as the date for government formation. We will win all the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state. People will win. The government will work for all sections of people – the poor, the farmers, the youths and the women. The government will be accountable for five years.”
